Marco Tulio, 1966 | Magic realism painter

Born in Medellin, Colombia, self-taught artist, Marco Tulio began his artistic endeavors at a very early age; with both of his parents as artists, Marco has been painting since he was very young.

Certainly his talents must be innate as this prodigal child had his first exhibit at the age of eleven.

His father, abstract artist, Guillermo Espinosa instilled in him an appreciation of color but Marco practiced, refined, and has perfected his classically inspired scenes.

Rob Gonsalves (1959-2017)

Rob Gonsalves è stato un artista multi premiato, nato a Toronto in Canada, prima di tutto architetto e scenografo: quello era il suo mestiere prima di dedicarsi completamente alla pittura.

L'interesse per l'arte nasce sin da piccolo, quando dimostra interesse per il disegno ed a dodici anni, quando la sua attrazione si sposta verso l'architettura grazie alla quale impara le tecniche di prospettiva, che sono il mezzo ideale per dar vita alle costruzioni immaginarie.

Sebbene il lavoro di Gonsalves sia spesso classificato come surrealista, si differenzia perché le immagini sono deliberatamente pianificate e derivano da un pensiero cosciente.

"An old Woman called 'The Artist's Mother'" by Rembrandt van Rijn (1606-1669) is a study in old age by a young, aspiring painter who rapidly gained a reputation for this kind of work before moving to Amsterdam to develop his career as a portraitist and history painter.

Executed towards the end of his time in Leiden (c.1629), this painting already reveals Rembrandt’s mastery of precise detail in the treatment of the folds of skin, the sunken eyes, the taut mouth and the prominent nose.

Jeffrey Ripple, 1962

Many of the flowers and herbs that appear in Ripple’s work come directly from his garden.

Other objects in his work come from his admiration for Spanish Baroque painting’s depiction of materials and items as "almost spiritual".

By lighting and arranging his subjects well he aims to give them that spiritual dimension.

Risulta chiara l’ispirazione al Manierismo ed ai pittori Fiamminghi nell’uso del colore, della luce e nella minuziosità dei dettagli.

Frank Buchser (1828-1890)

Frank Buchser è stato un pittore Svizzero.

È noto per i suoi ritratti di importanti personaggi americani del periodo successivo alla guerra civile e per le sue opere con temi orientali.

Buchser viaggiò a Roma passando per Parigi e Firenze e studiò arte a Parigi, Anversa ed all'Accademia di San Luca a Roma.

Mentre era a Roma si finanziò gli studi lavorando per la Guardia Svizzera.

Olga Esther is an Spanish painter and illustrator who develops her work within Lowbrow or pop surrealism, painting impossible princesses.

She is a graduate of fine arts from Polytechnic University of Valencia, she is the recipient of two art scholarships in Prague and Mexico.

She also holds a master‘s degree in video games.

Now, she lives and works in Valencia.
