Edmund Greacen (1876-1949)


Edmund William Greacen was an American🎨 Impressionist painter. His active career extended from 1905-1935, during which he created many colorful works in oil on canvas and board.
One of his works, a reproduction of which is at the Smithsonian Institution, was awarded the Salmagundi Club's Samuel T. Shaw Prize🎨 in 1922.

Kal Gajoum, 1968


Kal Gajoum was born in Tripoli. He was only ten years old when he entered his first art competition.
Later on he was introduced to oil painting and palette knife techniques by friend of the family who were artist in attendance at the Leonardo da Vinci school of art in Rome.
He held his first exhibition in 1983 in Tripoli.

Matilda Browne was an American🎨 Impressionist artist noted for her flower paintings and her farm and cattle scenes.
Born in Newark, New Jersey, she was a child prodigy who received early art training from her artist-neighbor, Thomas Moran🎨.

Georges Seurat (1859-1891)


Georges-Pierre Seurat was a French🎨 post-Impressionist artist.
He is best known for devising the painting techniques known as chromoluminarism as well as pointillism.
While less famous than his paintings, his conté crayon drawings have also garnered a great deal of critical appreciation.

Maria Magdalena Oosthuizen was born in Paarl, raised mostly in Gauteng, currently residing in Mossel Bay.

Vincent van Gogh | Daubigny's Garden, 1890


Van Gogh🎨 was a lifelong admirer of the work of Charles-François Daubigny🎨.
This celebrated landscape painter had lived in Auvers.
So when Vincent arrived in the village, he went to see Daubigny's home and garden as soon as he could. This is Van Gogh's first painting of the garden. He later made two larger ones on canvas.

Charles Courtney Curran (1861-1942)

Nato a Hartford, Kentucky, Charles Courtney Curran ha trascorso i suoi anni formativi a Sandusky, Ohio, dove la sua famiglia si trasferì nel 1881.
Ha studiato per un anno alla Cincinnati School of Design, quindi si è trasferito a New York.
In questa città, si iscrive alla National Academy of Design ed alla Art Student League; la sua partecipazione a mostre in cui i suoi straordinari dipinti sono l'inizio di una brillante carriera.
