Edward Henry Potthast | Pittore Impressionista

Edward Henry Potthast (Cincinnati, 10 giugno 1857 - New York, 9 marzo 1927) è stato un pittore Statunitense impressionista.

È conosciuto per i suoi dipinti raffiguranti persone durante il tempo libero al Central Park e sulle spiagge di New York e Nuova Inghilterra.

Edward Henry Potthast nacque a Cincinnati, Ohio.

Dal 10 giugno del 1879 fino al 9 marzo del 1881 studiò con Thomas Satterwhite Noble.

Egli studiò più tardi alla Royal Academy a Monaco di Baviera con l'istruttore di origine statunitense Carl Marr.

Norman Lindsay | Modern painter / sculptor

Australian artist, etcher, sculptor, writer, editorial cartoonist, scale modeler Norman Alfred William Lindsay (22 February 1879 – 21 November 1969) was one of ten children of Dr and Mrs Charles Lindsay, of Creswick, Victoria. Remarkably, five of their progeny became artists of distinction. He is widely regarded as one of Australia's greatest artists.

From an early age, Norman showed an outstanding ability to draw. He became the principal cartoonist for the Bulletin magazine, fought many controversies against "wowsers", particularly defending his right to paint the figure, wrote novels and children's books including 'The Magic Pudding' and also made ship models and garden sculptures.

Jean-Claude Campana è un artista Francese nato nel 1941 che attualmente vive e lavora a Venezia.

Ha iniziato la sua carriera esponendo insieme a Baboulène, Buffet, Hilaire, Brayer.

L'approccio di questi Maestri incoraggia il talento di Campana, che già in gioventù, costruisce un carattere forte.

Forte della sua esperienza nel surrealismo, nel simbolismo e nel realismo, Jean-Claude Campana è devoto a Venezia, con uno stile molto personale.

Frederic Leighton, later Lord Leighton (1830-1896) was one of the leading Victorian Classicists, a group of late 19th century artists inspired by classical art.

They painted historical, biblical and classical subjects and their style tended to be sophisticated and highly polished.

"Greek Girls Playing Ball" does not refer to a specific historical or mythological event.

Primi anni di vita

Carrier-Belleuse nacque il 12 giugno 1824 ad Anizy-le-Château, Aisne, Francia.

Ha iniziato la sua formazione come apprendista orafo.

Carrier-Belleuse fu allievo di David d'Angers e studiò brevemente all'École des Beaux-Arts.

La sua carriera si distingue per la sua versatilità e il suo lavoro fuori dalla Francia: in Inghilterra tra il 1850-1855 (lavorando per Mintons), ed a Bruxelles intorno al 1871.
