Diego Dayer (Argentine painter, 1978)

Diego Dayer was born in Rafaela, Provincia de Santa Fé. He began his art in Marcela Grosso´s workshop, plastic artist in his natal City. Afterwards he began to study painting in the “Escuela de Arte de la Universidad Nacional de Córdoba”.

Octavian Florescu (Romanian, 1957)

Octavian Florescu was born in the Southern Romanian town of Craiova. In 1978 he interrupted his university studies in engineering to become a full-time artist painter.

For five years he studied church painting and restoration which gave him the opportunity to learn and master all painting techniques from the ancient fresco to the contemporary oil and acrylic.

The influence of the Byzantine style is noticeable in all his work.

In 1989, while in Hungary, he completely dedicated himself to surrealism that allows him to best express his ideas.

Over the past 21 years his paintings have been seen in Austria, Canada, France, Hungary, Mexico, Romania and the USA.

John Singer Sargent | Fishing for Oysters at Cancale, 1878

In 1877 the twenty-one year old Sargent spent the summer in Cancale on the coast of Brittany sketching fisherfolk.

He sent his first completed painting, "Fishing for Oysters at Cancale", a finished sketch, to New York for display at the newly-formed, avant garde Society of American Artists from March 6 to April 5, 1878.

Sargent submitted the second painting, "Oyster Gatherers of Cancale" (Corcoran Gallery of Art, Washington, D.C.), a larger, more finished version of the same subject, to the 1878 Paris Salon, where it was awarded an Honorable Mention.

Stanislav Sidorov, 1954

Stanislav Sidorov / Сидоров Станислав Николаевич è nato nella città di Blagoveshchensk, nell'estremo oriente della Russia.

Jacob Lawrence (1917-2000)

Jacob Lawrence è stato un pittore Statunitense.

È noto per aver ritratto soggetti storici afroamericani e la vita contemporanea. Lawrence si riferiva al suo stile come "cubismo dinamico", anche se, secondo la sua stessa ammissione, l'influenza principale non era tanto l'arte francese quanto le forme e i colori di Harlem, il quartiere di New York a forte presenza nera.

Portò alla vita l'esperienza afroamericana utilizzando neri e marroni giustapposti a colori vivaci.
