George Henry Boughton | A spring idyll, 1901


George Henry Boughton RA (1833-1905) was an Anglo-American landscape and genre painter, illustrator and writer.
Boughton was born in Norwich in Norfolk, England, the son of farmer William Boughton. The family emigrated to the United States in 1835, and he grew up in Albany, New York where he started his career as a self-taught artist. At this early stage, he was influenced by the artists of the Hudson River School.

Emma Ekwall [1838-1925]


Emma Ekwall-Scheutz was the first Swedish woman - painter, received the Royal Medal. She was born on January 18, 1838. After graduating from the Academy of Painting, where she studied from 1865-1870, lived for a time in Munich and Leipzig. She painted mostly portraits of their children, floral still lifes and genre scenes. She died in 1925 in Stockholm.

Paul Gauguin | Seated breton girl, 1889

A pioneer of the Symbolist art movement in France, Paul Gauguin is famous for his sumptuous paintings of bathers, Tahiti and its inhabitants, and haystacks in the Breton landscape - all of which set the stage for Fauvism and Expressionism.
While he was originally associated with the Impressionists in Paris, Gauguin began to seek out more so-called “primitive” subject matter.

La Cappella di Giotto

La Cappella intitolata a Santa Maria della Carità, affrescata tra il 1303-1305 da Giotto su incarico di Enrico degli Scrovegni costituisce uno dei massimi capolavori dell'arte occidentale.
La narrazione ricopre interamente le pareti con le storie della Vergine e di Cristo, mentre nella controfacciata è dipinto il grandioso Giudizio Universale, con il quale si conclude la vicenda della salvazione umana.
L'edificio era originariamente collegato al palazzo di famiglia, fatto erigere dopo il 1300, seguendo il tracciato ellittico dei resti dell'arena romana.
Da quando, nel 1880, la Cappella è stata acquisita dalla città di Padova, gli affreschi sono stati continuamente oggetto di particolari attenzioni e, nell'Ottocento e nel Novecento, sono stati compiuti svariati interventi conservativi.

Paul Gauguin | A seashore, 1887

Paul Gauguin's (1848-1903) paintings characterized by vivid colors and Symbolist themes, would prove highly successful among the European viewers for their exploration of the relationships between people, nature, and the spiritual world.
Gauguin's art became popular after his death, partially from the efforts of dealer Ambroise Vollard, who organized exhibitions of his work late in his career and assisted in organizing two important posthumous exhibitions in Paris.

George Tsui, 1950

George Tsui è nato a Hong Kong e si è trasferito a New York alla fine degli anni '60, studiando prima alla Scuola di Arti Visive e successivamente specializzandosi in petrolio dipingendo alla Art Students League mentre lavorava alla NBC, gli è stato assegnato il premio prestigioso Emmy Award 1997 per la migliore arte ed artigianato individuale.
Incluso in sue opere di quel periodo sono alcune locandine cinematografiche, anche diversi dipinti scelto per la serie di poster delle Olimpiadi invernali del 1984, oltre che in edizione limitata stampe artistiche in edizione per l'evento "La notte delle 100 stelle" del 1985 e 1986 per un omaggio al Centenario dell'Actor's Fund of America, l'arte originale il lavoro con le firme di 100 celebrità era di proprietà di ABC Television Corp.

Vladimir Dunjic, 1957


Vladimir Dunjic was born in Cacak. He graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts in the class of Professor Mladen Srbinovic in 1981.
He has been a member of ULUS, the Serbian Association of Fine Arts, since 1982.
He has also taken part in several solo and group exhibitions, both in Yugoslavia and abroad. He works and lives as a free lance artist in Belgrade.
