Frank Markham Skipworth (1854 Castor, Lincolnshire - 1929 London) was a very well known painter of portraits, genre and historical subjects.
He studied for two years at the Lincoln School of Art, for three years at the Royal Academy Schools, under Sir Edward John Poynter (1836-1919)) and finally in 1883-84 was a pupil of the famous Adolphe William Bouguereau in Paris.
