Faruk Cimok was born in Reyhanli-Hatay, Turkey.

He graduated from the Istanbul State Fine Arts Academy (now known as Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University) Devrim Erbil Workshop.

He depicts the people of the rural part of Southern Anatolia, cotton workers, in crowded figure groups in his paintings.

In a sense, he caricatures, a unique taste of hoarding and anxiety of typology predominate.

Osman Hamdi Bey | The Tortoise Trainer, 1906

The Tortoise Trainer Hamdi's 1906 painting, The Tortoise Trainer, has held the record until 2019 for the most valuable Turkish painting, after being sold for 5 million Turkish Liras (approx. US$3.5 million) in December 2004.

At the 2004 Artam Antik A.Ç. auction in Istanbul, the Pera Museum and the Turkish Modern Museum fought to acquire the painting, and was ultimately purchased by the Pera Museum.

The painting depicts Hamdi's likeness clad in antiquated clothing, training tortoises in a mosque.

This choice of subject matter leads many to see this painting as a commentary on Turkey's conflicted national identity.

Istanbul-based freelance illustrator Aykut Aydoğdu has developed a unique style creating surreal, enigmatic digital art. He is also known as "aykutmaykut".

His surreal figurative works are mainly concentrated on the dilemmas of the daily life.

Eser Afacan è un artista di pittura classica famoso in tutto il mondo che è nato in Turchia, successivamente ha studiato e vissuto in Norvegia e Canada per circa 30 anni.

Ha studiato Matematica e Scienze a Manchester, Exeter e Bergen.

Nel 1983, mentre era studente all'Università di Bergen, incontra il famoso artista norvegese Odd Nerdrum ed inizia a lavorare nel suo studio di Oslo.

Hasan Saygin, 1958

Hasan Saygin è nato a Karamanli, Turchia.

Dopo aver completato gli studi all'Ecole des Beaux Arts di Istanbul, è arrivato in Francia nel 1982 e da allora si è dedicato alla pittura.

Ha presentato le sue opere al Salon Automne di Parigi, Artistes Français, Comparisons -Fall, French Artists, Comparisons.

Ha ricevuto inoltre numerosi premi e medaglie - Deauville nell'89 - Premio Jacques Catinat a Chatou - Medaglia della Città di Parigi nel 1990 - Premio del Consiglio Generale degli Yvelines nel 1991 - Forme e colori 91 a Washington.
