Chidi Okoye (Nigerian painter, 1961)


Chidi A. Okoye graduated with a distinction in sculpture from the Institute of Management and Technology in Enugu, Nigeria, in 1988.
For the next six years he taught sculpture and drawing at Federal Polytechnic Oko Anambra State Nigeria.
During this period, he created an outstanding collection, not only sculpting, but painting and writing as well. In Nigeria, He had his national solo exhibition “Textures of Life” and launching of his book “Lamentation” at national museum Lagos in 1993 sponsored by Mobil Producing Nigeria.
Okoye is as famous for his poetry as for his painting and sculpture.

Onyeka Ibe, 1971


Pittore di origine nigeriana, Ibe ha ottenuto riconoscimenti internazionali per il suo approccio drammatico alla pittura.
Descritto come uno dei giovani pittori più entusiasmanti emersi dall'Africa sub-sahariana dagli anni '90, è stato premiato come "Miglior artista SOLO dell'anno 2006" all'International Artexpo di New York.
Ibe cerca ispirazione nelle "tradizioni naturali ed umanistiche del realismo e dell'astrazione contemporanei".
I suoi dipinti trasmettono uno spettro di emozioni umane.
