Anne-Marie Kornachuk, nata a Pin Court, Quebec, è una pittrice realista, meglio conosciuta per i suoi dipinti di donne circondate da risme di tessuto.
Nei suoi quadri la drammaticità del tessuto è al centro della scena.
Lavorando con l'olio ed utilizzando tecniche pittoriche tradizionali, è influenzata dalla teatralità dell'Arte Barocca.
La natura animata del tessuto parla dei drammi interiori nascosti delle sue figure.


Anne-Marie è anche nota per i suoi ritratti di cavalli realizzati in scala esatta.
Lavorando con l'olio ed utilizzando tecniche pittoriche tradizionali, è influenzata dalla teatralità dell'arte barocca.
Il cavallo, con le sue dimensioni massicce, la bellezza e l'espressività può parlare in termini poetici di emozione ed esperienza.

Incontra ogni cavallo che dipinge, prende le fotografie di riferimento e le misure. Kornachuk è cresciuta a Winnipeg, Manitoba e ha completato il suo BFA alla Concordia University (Montreal, QC) nel 1993.
Dopo la laurea ha partecipato a numerose mostre personali e collettive in Canada, negli Stati Uniti ed all'estero.














Anne-Marie Kornachuk [Canadian, b 1969, Pin Court, Quebec] is a realist painter, best known for her paintings of women surrounded by reams of fabric.
In her paintings the drama of the fabric takes the center stage.
Working with oil and using traditional painting techniques, she is influenced by the theatricality of Baroque Art.
The animated nature of the fabric speaks about the hidden internal dramas of her figures.


Anne-Marie is also known for her portraits of horses made to exact scale.

The horse, with its massive size, beauty and expressiveness can speak in poetic terms about emotion and experience.
She meets every horse she paints, takes the reference photographs and measurements.

Kornachuk grew up in Winnipeg, Manitoba and completed her BFA at Concordia University (Montreal, QC) in 1993.
Since graduation she has participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions in Canada, the US and abroad.
