Pedro Roldán Molina, 1954 | Modern impressionism painter

Pedro Roldán Molina was born in Rute in the province of Còrdoba, Andalucía.

From a very young age he carried out his first drawing studies, obtaining different prizes for painting and other techniques, in his town, and also a national one at eight years.

He continued his studies in Barcelona where he has spent his entire career, surrounded by the modernists and very close to the impressionists, but fundamentally alongside the great creators who took over those lands in the last decade of the last century.

Some were his teachers, such as the Catalan figurative artist Gonzàlez Carbonell, whom our artist had great admiration for.

He obtained numerous prizes for painting, which served as a means to project himself, making himself known within this artistic sphere.

As a consequence of this, his works moved throughout the national territory and also outside our borders, especially in the US and central Europe, forming part of private and institutional collections in these places.

It is said he does magic tricks with colours and that his painting are as if they were extracted from a dream, in which his brush-strokes taint a whole atmosphere, projecting all its colour, which becomes painted poetry… it is also said, he lives in a different world, and that he sees things differently.

Today he resides in Granada.

L'artista Pedro Roldàn Molina è nato a Rute, provincia di Còrdoba.

Fin da giovanissimo ha svolto i suoi primi studi di disegno, ottenendo nella sua città diversi premi per la pittura ed altre tecniche, ed anche un premio nazionale uno ad otto anni.

Ha continuato i suoi studi a Barcellona dove ha trascorso tutta la sua carriera, circondato dai modernisti e molto vicino agli impressionisti, ma fondamentalmente accanto ai grandi creatori che hanno conquistato quelle terre nell'ultimo decennio del secolo scorso.

Alcuni furono suoi maestri, come l'artista figurativo catalano Gonzàlez Carbonell, per il quale il nostro artista nutriva una grande ammirazione.

Ottenne numerosi premi per la pittura, che gli servì come mezzo per proiettarsi, facendosi conoscere in questo ambito artistico.

In conseguenza di ciò le sue opere si sono sparse su tutto il territorio nazionale ed anche fuori dai confini, soprattutto negli Stati Uniti e nell'Europa centrale, formando in questi luoghi collezioni private ed istituzionali.

Dicono che faccia magie con i colori e che i suoi quadri siano come tratti da un sogno, che le sue pennellate punteggiano tutto l'ambiente, inondando tutto di colore, che siano poesie dipinte... che viva in un mondo diverso, che vede le cose in modo diverso.

Oggi risiede a Granada.
