Christopher Zhang is an realist painter born in Shanghai but now living and teaching art in the US since 1990.

- "As a professional artist, I have received the most institutional education and substantial training of painting in both China and the US.

In the last four decades, I have successfully developed my career and markets nationally and internationally through numerous exhibits and awards at home and abroad".

"My subjective paintings are mainly to two themes:

- The Chinese minority nationality and their social customs;

- Ballerinas.

My style and techniques can best represent and express these two subjects in light of realism.

My equal success in painting these two remarkably different subjects with highly different skills has in fact become the differentiation between me and other artists and has thus become a characteristic of my art.

In addition to the subjective paintings, I paint portraits and landscapes".

Zhang è un pittore realista nato a Shanghai, ma dal 1990 vive e insegna arte negli Stati Uniti.

- "Come artista professionista, ho ricevuto l'istruzione più istituzionale e una formazione sostanziale sulla pittura sia in Cina che negli Stati Uniti. Negli ultimi quattro decenni, ho sviluppato con successo la mia carriera e il mercato a livello nazionale e internazionale attraverso numerose mostre e premi in patria e all'estero.

I miei dipinti soggettivi riguardano principalmente due temi:

- La nazionalità della minoranza cinese e le loro usanze sociali;

- Le ballerine.

Il mio stile e le mie tecniche possono rappresentare ed esprimere al meglio questi due soggetti alla luce del realismo.

Il mio pari successo nel dipingere questi due soggetti notevolmente diversi con abilità molto diverse è infatti diventato la differenziazione tra me ed altri artisti ed è diventato così una caratteristica della mia arte.

Oltre ai dipinti soggettivi, dipingo ritratti e paesaggi".
