Angèle Dubos born Laure Constance Angèle Dubos was a student of the great painter Charles Chaplin (1825-1891)🎨, which opens a course devoted solely to women artists🎨, among which we can mention Mary Cassatt🎨 and Louise Abbéma.
Chaplin encourages its students to participate. She is the first winner🎨 of the contest that gets the gold medal.


Her works are strong, the movement is translated, the colours are vivid. 
With painting "In room" 1876, the jury of the Paris Salon noticed her talent.
She painted a kind way, with enthusiasm, ease and softness in execution.
In 1878 she participated in the exhibition of women artists and exposure Universal.
Her painting "A New Song", dated 1879, was included in the 1905 book Women Painters of the World.



Angèle Dubos , all'anagrafe Laure Constance Angèle Dubos, è stata una pittrice Francese🎨.
Nata nel 1844 nel dipartimento di Orne, ha imparato la pittura a Parigi come studentessa di Charles Chaplin🎨.
Fin dall'inizio, la qualità del suo lavoro ha attirato l'attenzione.

È stata molto attiva in mostre d'arte, parigine e regionali, dal 1867-1884.
Nel 1873 vinse la medaglia d'oro🎨 in una mostra a Caen con il suo dipinto "Rolande".


Il dipinto viene poi acquistato dal Comune per il suo museo.
La tecnica di Dubos è riconosciuta e apprezzata dai suoi colleghi e critici.
Nel 1876, un critico direbbe durante il Salon del 1876 dove espone il suo dipinto "La Sultane": "Dipinge in modo piacevole, con vivacità, disinvoltura e morbidezza nell'esecuzione".
Nel 1886, in La Revue normande et parisienne, viene citata come una delle migliori allieve di Chaplin quando espone il suo disegno Le Déjeûner de Mlle Rose.
Si sposò tardi, nel giugno 1901, con Pierre Louis Bourdon, direttore delle poste della Corrèze.
Il suo dipinto "The New Song" , datato 1879, fu incluso nel libro del 1905 Women Painters of the World.
Era membro dell'Académie Normande.
