Marcel Nino Pajot, 1945

Since he was a child, Nino Pajot developed his skills for drawing.
It is a gift from his mother, Reine Pajot-Védry, she was born in Vergt as well.
She is an artist who made remarkable sculptures.
As a self-taught artist, Pajot did enhance his abilities for painting rubbing shoulders with other artists.

He met them at the Beaux-Arts Society of the Perigord, in France. It was founded in 1978, by Jean-Daniel Ribeyrol and Paul-André Enard, two painters.
Eventually, in 1981, Pajot considered his artwork to be ready for presentation.
Therefore, he participated at his first collective exhibition in a small Périgord town.

In his work, the shapes and subjects are a reason for many and abundant research of tones and shades.
They are repeated interpretations of the same idea in order to achieve a darker shade of black, a more discret tone of gold or a more delicate shine…
However, it is what the artist gives us to think.

The truth is that Pajot is continuously on a quest to find Don Quichotte.
He look out for the very short moment in which the masks come off so he can be moved by the human condition.

This is how he explains his particular affection for the work of Daumier, Lautrec, Schiele, Lucian Freud and Jansem.
His work has been a part of Galerie Mickaël Marciano for several years now, and it continues today.
